Finding Love Again
You are just a dream to me, a face I’ve never seen.
Eyes so beautiful, translucent in blue
a river to the soul I seek.
I know you better than you know yourself.
Yet, we have never met.
My hands are carved to caress your face
my breath, warm on your neck.
As I move through life I hear your voice,
it echo’s in my head.
It calls to me from where we’ll meet,
pulling me closer with every step.
Yes I’ve been in love before
but my soul wasn’t satisfied.
Lust and passion only ignited the flame,
It’s the soul that keeps love alive.
I crave to be in your presence,
enveloped by your scent.
At peace in the arms of my lifetime love,
my soul can finally rest.
