The Audience of Your Life

By Carson Creek

There's something special about you "T". I feel it when I stand next to you. I see it in the faces of others when you engage them. I hear it in your passioned voice. You have a purpose, a destiny in your life. There's no doubt in my mind you will do great things, inspire others, and change the lives of those within your voice.

Sitting quietly together, watching the world awaken in front of us, I'm reminded of the power of the one who entrusted your life to me and overwhelmed by the obligation of God's gift. I've always believed the world is an orchestra, a complex mix of voices and opinions seeking direction, searching for harmony. Life will call upon you one day to become one of it's conductors.

To be in the audience of your life is a joy I look forward to with every sunrise and morning song. Your soul is your rhythm in life "T". Trust it and the world will dance with you.

My daughter is like that, beyond my comprehension. I guess I need to write about it. Thanks.

Beautiful heartfelt space in this. A piece of writing to keep through his life - read it at his graduation or wedding or any moment you feel he needs to hear it.

Randy, Isn't it amazing to feel the power that our children possess. You can feel it when you're with them...it's more than parental pride. Write it down, you'll want to recall it later.

Jewels, I think you're right; at some point I'll share it with him. Hopefully he won't be embarassed by it.

Feline, Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It felt great to get my thoughts down on a page.

Jenny, Thank you! I'm not a writer and I'm sure that many "rules of writing" are being broken in my hubs but I like to put down what I feel inside. If it was a text message I could get away with all the errors including spelling :)

You need to write letters to my kids too, lol. I love simplicity and truth in this. Did he get to read this?

Frieda, I've read your work and you can certainly express yourself. I'm sure you don't need any help in writing to your kids or anyone else for that matter. :>)

I haven't shared this or any of my other writings with him except a poem I wrote as a school porject, "Stinky Sam." I tell him everyday how much I love him and my goal is to one day bind all of my writings about him in a book so he can read it when he's ready. It should be interesting for him, as he looks back on events and time, to see what I was thinking or feeling.

What a truly lovely and beautiful thing to write to your son. You should send some of this stuff into women's magazines, its something fresh and new.

Magnoliazz, You are very kind and inspiring. I actually would submit this to a woman's magazine, or any magazine for that matter, if I had any clue how to do it. :>) Thanks for the push!

You gave me goosebumps reading this. I feel the same way, but you have found a wonderful way to put this feeling into words! Thanks. :D

K@ri, Thank YOU for taking the time to read it! We all feel so much through out our days, moments, memories slipping away wishing we could express what our souls are pouring out. It always feels good when I'm able to put it down in print. It's even better knowing it connected with someone else. Thanks for the kind words.
